Abdominal Release Massage

Drawing from an ancient Mayan healing technique for men and women, tactile pressure and movements are applied to your belly and synchronised with your breathing to release fascia tension, encouraging the abdominal organs (especially the womb in women) into proper position.
The Abdominal Massage improves the flow of blood, lymph, nerve impulses, and Chi (body energy / vitality).
Proper positioning and improved flow enhances your body’s natural healing abilities and balances your upper and lower abdomen.

Abdominal Massage is included in your initial 75 minute Yoni or Prostate Steam to amplify their combined healing benefits.
For men, this treatment greatly assist with detoxifying the prostate.

You may also like to book in for a Abdominal Massage on it's own or add it onto another treatment.

When to have Abdominal Massage
It is best to have at least 3 of these of the Abdominal Massages with a qualified practitioner (me) before practicing these techniques by yourself. This way I can support and guidance though your health changes and any emotions that may arise to be released.

By the end of 3 sessions with me, you know the correct way to apply the strokes, know what to look out for and how to support yourself in a loving way through the necessary healing changes that may take place.

Important cautions to consider
  • Menstruation: 5 days prior to your bleed we do not deeply massage the uterus, however over the groin and upper abdomen is allowed. During menses light massage over the uterus may be beneficial.
  • Pregnancy: not during the first 20 weeks; after that we can do an adapted version.
  • Abdominal surgery: after 6-8 weeks consult with your physician to determine when you are able to receive abdominal massage.
  • Medications: Pain medications, or other substances may mask your response to this modality.
  • Intra-Uterine Device: a modified version is provided if you have an IUD in place.
  • Acute Pain or Infection: no ab massage until this has been remedied.
  • Pessary: just remove it prior to treatment.
  • Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disorder (GERD) or Hiatal Hernia: we only go slowly and with light pressure.
  • Fertility Technology: no ab massage while undergoing this type of treatment.
After Care
Honour and relish in your experience. Drink plenty of water! Good hydration supports the healing process.
Remember, needing to rest and releasing emotions are normal and natural as your body is clearing out old, held and stuck emotions stored as cellular memory in the tissues.
Your body will thank you for it though.
